Carrie Underwood is back on stage. 35-year-old American singer resumed her career with a stunning performance during the Academy of Country Music Awards. That was her first official public appearance after a nasty accident in November 2017 when the pop star fell from the stairs at her home in Nashville.
There was no serious Instagram activity for Carrie since the tragic slip. Her rare photos were hiding the face, as the unlucky fall left her not only with the broken wrist but also with more than 40 facial stitches.
Luckily, the recovery was flawless, and the singer didn’t suffer from any complications. Despite her physical health was slowly but steadily improving, her mental condition was struggling.
She couldn’t perform, couldn’t share with her fans what she would like to show; the winter depression was tough, but luckily, Underwood is back, and her recent performance was fantastic.
On Sunday night, her Cry Pretty rendition proved that Carrie has recovered completely.
The choice of the song was peculiar, as the message that she wanted to pass to the listeners directly showed her inner condition over the past year:
The title refers to when emotions take over and you just can’t hold them back. It really speaks to a lot of things that have happened in the past year, and I hope when you hear it, you can relate those feelings to those times in your life.
Soon after that, she shared with her Instagram followers a close-look photo that confirmed her excellent recovery. Her face looks immaculate, and the adorable smile underlines her magnificent mood:
Physically, I’m doing pretty darn good these days. My wrist is almost back to normal, about 90 percent there…and the docs say that last 10 percent will come in time. I definitely feel more like myself than I have in a while. Thank you all so much for your love and support this year and always. I can’t wait to start this new chapter with you!
